This is Not Your Older Sister's SAT: 3 Things Parents Should Know About The March 11 Digital SAT
The SAT is getting a digital makeover for the exam, with a new digital format that will test academic abilities plus digital literacy in innovative ways. Parents should understand these key changes to help prepare their high schoolers for a very different entrance exam experience.

1. Shortened Time Limit
The digital SAT will be just over 2 hours long rather than the marathon 3-hour paper exam. This accelerated pace could overwhelm some students.
2. Adaptive Question Format
This next-gen SAT tailors questions to each test taker based on their performance. So teens must maintain focus since each successive question increases in difficulty.
3. Emphasis on Digital Skills
Students will utilize a laptop/tablet to read passages, solve problems, and edit essays. Digital test-taking abilities will be critical to navigate the platform.
